Quite by  accident I began painting in Black and White, and I discovered that by using this simple palette that I was able to optimize my "open air " painting time throughout the winter season, which has limited time and temperature to work in.

It was a pleasant surprise to be able to produce such striking and dramatic pieces with this technique.
